Your Skipper sleeps on the yacht and needs a private cabin. You normally take the roomiest and best cabins the forward owners cabin. Guests typically provide meals for the Skipper, and you can choose whether they join you for dinner or prefer their own time.
To keep the trip smooth, discuss daily routines, planned activities, and any special preferences at the start. Guests are usually responsible for simple tasks like grocery shopping and keeping the deck tidy, while the Skipper focuses on all things navigation.
Costs, Tips & Deposits
- Skipper cost: is baked into the boat rental cost per day, depending on destination.
- Tipping: Optional but appreciated—typically 10–15% of the Skipper’s fee.
- Security deposit: Thats not necessary as your skipper is onboard and will keep you in safe waters.
Before You Depart
Crew contact details are usually provided three days before departure, once the Skipper has finished their current charter. Don’t worry—your preferences and requirements will already be shared with the crew to ensure a seamless start to your holiday.
